My brother, his wife & 4 year old son were in a serious car accident on January 9. The 4 year old thankfully was uninjured other than a scratch from the seatbelt. Mommy & daddy however, were not as fortunate. Mommy suffered a compound fracture of the femur, along with a broken kneecap, broken ankle & a collapsed lung. She has already had 2 surgeries & at least 1 more surgery is planned, she was finally released from hospital on January 22 & is now home recovering. Daddy suffered 8 broken ribs, broken sternum, along with a fractured hip, femur, & knee. They will both be relatively immobile for the next few months. They are doing the best they can given the circumstances along with raising 2 children with special needs.
