I'm reaching out with an urgent appeal for assistance. My mother, Gilcilene, affectionately known as Vovó Gil (Grandma Gil) and Chyka to many of you, urgently needs our help.

Last Thursday, she was admitted to the emergency room with severe abdominal pain. After an MRI, doctors discovered an atrial myxoma, a tumor in her heart that requires immediate removal.

She underwent open-heart surgery on Saturday, May 10th, and is currently in the ICU. Her recovery will require at least a week of observation in the hospital, and she won't be able to work for at least two months.

Known for her selflessness and caring nature, she's always put others' well-being before her own. Now, it's our turn to rally together and support her recovery.
