We are heartbroken to share the passing of our dear friend, Vlaiker Yepez, who was only 16 years old. This loss has deeply affected all of us who knew and loved him.

Vlaiker had been living with his 16-year-old stepbrother for the past couple of years. On Wednesday afternoon, around 3:21 PM, Vlaiker was texting like everything was normal, and he seemed to be doing well. Shortly after, around 3:53 PM, authorities received a call reporting that he had been found injured in his bedroom. It was later confirmed that Vlaiker was shot by his stepbrother.

This tragic situation has left us with many questions and so much pain. What we do know is that Vlaiker was a kind, genuine person with a pure heart and soul. He was someone who could make friends anywhere he went and always made people smile and laugh.

We will always miss him and carry his memory with us. Our hearts are especially with his dad and family during this incredibly difficult time.
