Our daughter Violet was born at 37 weeks on March 24, 2026, and immediately faced significant health challenges. She spent three weeks in the NICU due to a known heart defect, but also struggled with unexpected breathing issues and deflated lungs. After finally coming home, Violet needed to be on oxygen 24/7. Unfortunately, her lungs did not improve, and after just two weeks at home, we were told she needed to be admitted to Children's Hospital of Milwaukee on April 29. Right now, there is no expected discharge date as doctors continue to run tests to understand why her lungs aren't working as they should.

This has been an incredibly difficult and uncertain time for our family. We are making frequent trips to and from Milwaukee to be with Violet, while also caring for our other two children at home. The costs of gas, food, possible lodging, daycare, and the ever-growing medical bills are adding up quickly. Every donation will help us stay by Violet's side, ensure our other children are cared for, and manage the financial strain of this unexpected journey.
