Vincent Borja Reyes II, lovingly known as Chuy, was the heart and soul of his family and community. He brought laughter and warmth wherever he went, always ready with a joke or a helping hand. Chuy was deeply caring, especially toward children, find his career working at Hayward school district, and he found joy in cooking, sports—especially baseball—and playing poker. His kindness and humor made him a beloved friend, son, and brother, and he was truly the light of every room he entered.

Chuy passed away unexpectedly at 39, leaving his family—Patricia, Vincent, and Christopher Reyes—facing the difficult task of saying goodbye. As they prepare for his funeral this Friday, they are navigating not only their grief but also the financial burden of funeral expenses. Many students and teachers from the school where Chuy worked have reached out, wanting to honor his memory and support his family during this challenging time.
