On May 10, 2026, my cousin Vilmar Escalante Mazariegos passed away suddenly due to a tragic incident. Vilmar a native of Tacaná, San Marcos Guatemala immigrated to the US, 4 years ago to provide for this family and to fulfill his dreams, like many of us.

His passing away, caught all of his family members by surprise and now turn to you for support in this tough situation.

Vilmar, of 32 years of age, was a loving husband and father of 2 beautiful girls, Emeli and Gelen. His grieving parents, Rigoberto Escalante and Berta Mazariegos. His wife, Liliana Hernández Pérez. His Siblings, Yagairi, Edward, and Rosa.

Edward, his younger brother, is now working to fund his beloved brother's repatriation. Once the funeral and repatriation fee is met, Vilmar's body will be heading back home, Colonia la Democracia Tacana, San Marcos, Guatemala. His family will wait for his body and say their last goodbye.
