Vikki's Fight Against Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy
Donation protected
Hello friends and family,
We're creating this page for our good friend and former co-worker, Vikki. Not only have I had the pleasure of working alongside Vikki, I've gained a wonderful friend. She is one of the most selfless people I know. She is an amazing wife and proud momma of two. In 2018 Vikki was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. Over time she's had several Drs appointments to continue monitoring her heart. In November 2023 she had a procedure done to have a defibrillator implanted as precaution. Since then, they've tried several different procedures to help her here in San Antonio, but nothing has worked.
Unfortunately, due to added stress on her heart, she had to stop working as of May of 2024. Recently she found out they are planning on sending her to Rochester Minnesota to the Mayo Clinic for open heart surgery called Septal Myectomy with the hopes to fix her heart. She needs to go in for testing on June 30th-July2nd and surgery is set for July 9th.
With all that being said, as anyone could imagine this is a very trying and scary time in her life. Vikki would love to have her husband, daughter and son alongside her to be there for support. We would LOVE to help make this happen for her and her family, with little to no financial burden on them.
Please consider donating. Anything helps! We know they will truly appreciate it
