My name is Victor, and I am reaching out for support during a very difficult chapter in my life. Recently, I was diagnosed with esophagus cancer, and the journey since then has been incredibly challenging for both myself and my family. The diagnosis itself was not easy—it all began with hardships swallowing food, which led us to discover the cancer. Once I started chemo and radiology, my condition worsened and I lost a significant amount of weight. After undergoing surgery to remove my esophagus, things became even more complicated. I lost even more weight and am now extremely underweight. At one point, I began internally bleeding and had to be flown to Froedert in Milwaukee, where I have spent most of my time and have been in and out of the hospital multiple times.
My wife has been by my side every step of the way, caring for me and helping me through recovery, but this has meant that she, too, has been unable to work. As a result, we have fallen behind on our bills and are struggling to keep up with daily living expenses and mounting medical costs.
The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward covering our medical bills, essential living expenses, and the debt that has accumulated during this time. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference for us as we work to regain stability and focus on my recovery. Your kindness and generosity will help lift a tremendous burden from our shoulders and allow us to concentrate on healing and being together as a family.
