Support for Victor Dale wrongly shot up by police
Donation protected
My brother Victor Dale of Toledo, Ohio was just wrongly shot by the police in Oregon on 6/13/2020. Although he says he doesn’t need anything I have started a GoFundMe to help him and his family as he is unable to work while recovering. Any contributions will help with his medical expenses from the gunshots the police unnecessarily fired on him, help with care for his daughter, for him to have the best legal assistance in the event he has to go to court, and whatever else him and his family may need. Unfortunately he is currently unable to work due to his collapsed lung and immobile right arm.
I believe in the power of community, and have started this GoFundMe with my own initial investment. Thank you all in advance for contributing or sharing, this injustice, abuse of power and police brutality has to stop!!
Victor graduated high school with a 4.0+ GPA, had a full ride to Ohio State, does anything to provide for his daughter whom he has full custody of. He didn’t deserve to be shot at 21 times in a crowded apartment complex by police officers who didn’t even apprehend him, detain him or put him under arrest. They jumped in front of his car with guns raised as you can see in the body cam footage Police showed up out of nowhere (were in the area for a breaking and entering which was confirmed to be a prank), confused, in the dark the police ran up to Victor and his girlfriend/childs mother, never asked their names, and even after both Victor and his girlfriend told the police that everything was ok, the police hung around silently in the dark without reason. The second officer showed up just in time to fire 10 shots, despite not knowing what was happening and the first officer jumped in front of the car with his pistol raised, almost as if to have a reason to shoot an unarmed black man whom he hadn't apprehended.
He has since been released from the hospital in serious condition, with no charges being filed against him.
I grew up with Victor in poverty and know that even the smallest contribution combined with community can go a long way. I am now a United States Army Veteran and served in the Signal Corps and would really appreciate any kind of support, even the smallest of contributions and sharing his story and this GoFundMe will be of great assistance to his family.
Video is here but i have to warn you it’s pretty graphic. Thank you for sharing his story, and for your contributions.
