Our family is heartbroken to share the unexpected passing of my sister Virginia, who tragically lost her life in a car accident on December 8th, 2025. She was only 42. Her son, my nephew, was in the same vehicle as my sister and thanking God he survived it. He is recovering from multiple broken bones and with the shock of it all. While we are deeply grateful he is still with us, the road ahead is long and filled with challenges for him and his younger brother.
Vicky was the true rock of our family. She was funny, hardworking, and the kind of person whose presence could light up an entire room. She was an incredible cook, a devoted mother, and someone whose contagious laughter made life warmer for everyone around her. Losing her has left a hole in our hearts and in the lives of her two beautiful sons.
This sudden tragedy has brought emotional pain, but also immediate financial realities. As everything is being settled, the children urgently need with living expenses:
▪︎Monthly assistance for utilities: electric, propane
▪︎household necessities: food, toiletries, hygiene products,
▪︎Support for one of my nephews physical recovery: Gas for frequent travel to doctors appointments.
▪︎ the biggest expense is an Attorney. The scariest reality of what the cost to process post-death documents for my sister has been shattering. We have a 10k attorney bill we will need to ensure gets paid.
We are stepping in to give these children stability, love, and safety—but we cannot do it alone. During this vulnerable and overwhelming time, we humbly ask our community of family, friends, and anyone moved by this story to help lighten the burden.
Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a meaningful difference. Your support will directly help keep these children cared for while we navigate the long legal and emotional process ahead.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your compassion, generosity, and prayers.
Please share this campaign if you are able.
With gratitude,
The Rico and Bucio family
