Support for Vicky Lindquist

Family and friends that have asked and been concerned about my sister Vicky.  Some of you may already know but many do not, so she has agreed to share her situation with family and friends. She was recently diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer that has metastasized into her stomach lining. After many tests and procedures to determine the stage and options, it was decided that chemo treatments was the route she is taking in hopes of shrinking the cancer enough to have surgery and then be in remission.  By the advice of her oncologist she moved in with her son Eric and his wife Missa so they could help take care of her during her treatments. She had to give up her home and job to start this unexpected journey. She started chemo on November 14 and has had some very rough days following her chemo. She was admitted to the hospital for other complications for a few days, released and was admitted again on Dec 23 - Jan 28 with a blood infection. Her time in the hospital was very rough and quite scary at times but she pulled through. On Jan 28 she transferred to a rehabilitation-center where she is currently staying until Feb 26 then we will re-evaluate where she will be able to go at that time. She has now had 4 treatments and 2 more to go until the next steps are decided. Anyone that knows Vicky knows that she would do anything for anyone, she lives very modestly, helps anyone she can and has a heart of gold. Please keep her in your prayers constant, pray for her healing and strength to get through this battle for her life.  This fund has been set up to help with her continued care, health insurance premiums and living expenses.
