Support for Vicki’s Medical Journey – Help Us Stay by Her Side

Our incredible Momma, Vicki, is currently hospitalized in downtown Houston after being transferred from Conroe due to a serious heart condition. Doctors are determining whether she will undergo a stent procedure—which carries much lower risk—or open-heart bypass surgery, which is far more dangerous given her many underlying health issues. On top of this, she was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer, further complicating her condition.

Vicki is 66 years old and the fiercely devoted mother of 13 children. She’s been a single mom since we lost our dad in 2016. Seven of us are grown, but six of our siblings still live at home—ranging in age from 6 to 16. These kids have already lost one parent… and they simply can’t lose another. Our sister Beverly, who is currently recovering from breast cancer, lives with Momma and is taking care of the younger kids while she’s in the hospital.

I’ve temporarily relocated to Houston to be with her, and my siblings are traveling back and forth as they are able to take time off work. I am incredibly grateful to be able to work remotely during this time, but the hotel stays, insanely expensive downtown parking, and frequent travel expenses are adding up fast.
