Hello, my name is Heather, and my family and I are heartbroken to share that my father passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 24th. We are doing our best to navigate the shock and grief while also facing the immediate costs of giving him the respectful burial he deserves.

My dad was a veteran who served his country with pride. Because of this, we are working with the VA to access the paperwork and benefits needed for his burial. However, the VA has told us that it could take up to a week before the necessary documents are available, which has delayed the burial process and added to the financial strain we are already facing.

Along with funeral and burial expenses, we also need help covering the cost of moving his belongings into storage while we sort through everything during this difficult time, as he was in the middle of moving, giving us limited time to do this.

All funds will go directly toward:

- Funeral home and burial expenses

- Costs associated with the VA delay

- Moving and storing his belongings

- Any remaining final costs
