Vera Tater Mae Lawson (Nona), was known for her famous cooking, warm and welcoming spirit, "Go in there and fix you a plate," and her ability to tell a mean joke that would have you laughing for hours.

It is with heavy hearts that we share with all of you the news of her passing on January 22, 2026. Her abrupt diagnosis of stage 4 cancer came as a shock to us all. This was followed by a rapid decline in health, and because of these unforeseen circumstances, we are facing unexpected expenses while trying to grieve and honor Vera's extraordinary life.
