In Loving Memory of Vanessa Rodriguez

1985 – 2025

With heavy hearts, we share the sudden and heartbreaking passing of Vanessa, who left us on October 1, 2025 from a pulmonary embolism and cardiac arrest.

Vanessa was a cherished sister, daughter, and friend who touched many lives with her joy, kindness, and love.

Born deaf, Vanessa never let anything hold her back from living life fully and beautifully. She had the biggest heart and a spirit that lit up every room. She adored anime, Japanese culture, Hello Kitty, and especially The Nightmare Before Christmas. Halloween was her favorite holiday—she dressed up every year and loved celebrating with family and friends. She was also a huge fan of Marvel movies and could watch them over and over again.

Vanessa had a special love for her pets, her cat Simba and her dog Kobe, who brought her so much happiness. She cared deeply for her family, always helping with their needs and supporting loved ones through life’s challenges. Even after enduring the loss of a sister 20 years ago, she continued to live with courage, compassion, and love.

She enjoyed the simple things too—sushi nights, fast food runs, and spending time with her friends, the deaf community, and her closest friends Mayra, Brittany, and Vanessa. Vanessa was truly one of a kind, and she will be missed more than words can express.

During this difficult time, the family is seeking help with funeral and memorial expenses to honor Vanessa in the way she deserves. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the burden on her loved ones.
