On 04/27/26, a severe storm came through and a tree fell into our home. The damage affected our kitchen, living room, master bedroom, and master bathroom. Because of the damage, our home was deemed unsafe to enter and we were displaced immediately.
We had to leave with only the clothes we were wearing and were unable to retrieve any of our belongings. Since then, we have been trying to manage day by day with very little.
On 04/28/26, our church was kind enough to donate some clothes and food, and a tree crew began removing the tree. We are incredibly thankful for that support. However, we still were not able to safely access the home, and we are facing a $1,000 insurance deductible that we do not currently have.
On 04/29/26, the insurance adjuster came out, but the home is still not safe to enter. We are still without many basic necessities, including clean clothes, hygiene items, and enough food while we wait for the next steps.
This has been overwhelming and humbling to ask for help, but right now we truly need it. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go toward the deductible, temporary needs, clothes, laundry, hygiene items, food, and helping us get back on our feet.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing this means just as much to us. We appreciate every prayer, share, and bit of support during this difficult time.
