Support For Unexpected Surgery

My name is Joey Trammell and I am a private health and lifestyle coach. I run my own small business called Sentiero Fitness based out of Aptos, Ca. I recently was involved in a random accident at the beach during a swim in the ocean.  On my way out of the water I was entangled in a discarded fishing line and lure. The lure had punctured my foot and calf causing me to trip while being entangled in the fishing line. I wasn't able to catch my footing, which caused me to land wrong and injure my foot. This resulted in multiple ligament and tendon tears with a Lis-Franc fracture dislocation of my mid foot/arch. The Dr. recommended a surgery to pin and screw my foot together. I will not be able to bare weight on my foot for 4 months and will be restricted to light/modified duty or no work. I will then have 4 months of physical therapy before undergoing another procedure to remove the pins, with a total of 8 months for recovery. This can potentially put me out of work between 4-6 months. Hopefully with a little luck, the right attitude, and some support, I believe the timeline can and will be shorter. Receiving funding for this as soon as possible will definitely help me with my road to recovery. It would be incredibly helpful in easing my mind and stress so that I am able to focus on recovering fully from this injury. I have already had to start paying for some of the medical procedures, along with medications and equipment crutches etc... With the existing financial stress already in place on my business due to the COVID pandemic, I am already experiencing the financial burden of this unexpected medical expense and set back.  I am starting this Gofundme campaign to help support me during my recovery as well as help my business stay a float in the meantime.  All funds will go towards my leasing agreement/overhead, medical bills, physical therapy and lost wages. Creating less stress during this time will help boost my progress in healing. With some support and a comfortable timeline I can focus on my optimal recovery levels in order to return to my true passion of being a coach and helping others.
