Uncle Pauly has always been the person everyone could turn to for advice, a listening ear, or a heartfelt rant. He’s been a big supporter of mine, encouraging me and being there when I needed someone most. His kindness and willingness to help others have touched so many lives, and now, he needs our support more than ever.
In November, Pauly suffered two neurological strokes that changed his life dramatically. The strokes affected his speech, mobility, mental awareness, and his ability to stand or walk on his own. Since January, he has been living in a care facility because he can no longer live independently or care for himself. He requires 24-hour care and, sadly, is unable to return to his job at CVS, where he worked for over a decade. The medical bills have been piling up since his first stroke, and we’ve also had to move him out of his apartment, which means there are storage costs for his belongings.
As Pauly’s only family member, I’ve been doing my best to support him while also caring for my own family. Both of his closest siblings and parents have passed away, so it’s just me trying to manage everything. It’s been incredibly taxing on both myself and Uncle Pauly, and I’m reaching out to our community for help.
