My name is Misha. I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of my close friend, a Ukrainian soldier, because GoFundMe is not available for use inside Ukraine.
My friend has been defending Ukraine since 2022. He volunteered to serve and protect his country, his family, and his people. Due to constant shelling by the Russian Federation, his region now suffers from severe and prolonged power outages. Electricity is often cut off for up to 20 hours a day, and sometimes there is no power at all.
At this very moment, his family is facing an incredibly important and vulnerable time — his child is about to be born any day now. Without electricity, it is extremely difficult and unsafe for a newborn baby and the mother. There is no stable heating, lighting, or reliable access to basic necessities during blackouts.
Currently, he is serving in the military reserve. During his active service, he served with the 503rd Separate Marine Battalion (503 ОБМП).
Unfortunately, his financial situation is very limited. His monthly military salary is about 20,000 UAH (approximately 500 USD). A generator with basic equipment costs between 500 and 700 USD, which makes it impossible for him to purchase one on his own.
I am raising funds to help him purchase a generator and essential equipment so his family can have light, warmth, and a basic level of safety during power outages during this critical time.
Any support, no matter how small, will make a real difference for this family. Thank you for your kindness, your trust, and for standing with Ukraine.
