Dear friends, family, and kind supporters,

Our names are Carter Cowan and Taylor Phillips and we are heartbroken to share that our friend and coworker, Alex and his family, have lost nearly everything in a tragic house fire that took place in Red Deer on May 30th 2025. They came to Canada as refugees from the Ukraine with everything they owned. The fire destroyed their home, clothes, and many cherished possessions, forcing them to have to rebuild their lives a second time.

Standing beside him is his beloved wife (Tanya) and two young twin daughters (both 3), This Family is now faced with the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch. His cousin (Igor), who lived with them, also lost all personal belongings in the blaze.

Alex is a dedicated family man and a valued member of our team, always bringing warmth and positivity to those around him. Despite this unimaginable loss, they remains strong, but they need our help to recover.

We’re launching this GoFundMe to help Alex, his wife, their two children, and his cousin cover immediate needs like medication, clothing, food, and essential supplies.
