Support For Ukraine - Fundraiser Dinner

My name is John Sanko, and I am a Knight of Columbus in Orleans, Ontario. My wife is a first-generation Canadian/Ukrainian, and I am 2nd generation. We have been very active over the years in fundraising for various charitable organizations in and around the Orleans area. As the Russian invasion of Ukraine progressed, we decided to reach out to some friends in the area to see if we could do something. Together, with a local restaurant, we decided to put on a Pierogi Take-Out dinner.

 

We are hosting a pierogi dinner to raise awareness and funds to donate to the Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal. On Monday, April 04, 2022, from 16:00-20:00 (4 PM-8 PM), we will be cooking 600 dozen pierogies at Soul Stone Sushi Bar & Grill (2701 St. Joseph Blvd). Proceeds from the GoFundMe account will be used to cover the cost of purchasing supplies for the event; any additional funds will be included in the donation to the Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal.
