Support for Tyra Johnson and her kids
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Phil. I am a semi-retired financial advisor. I met Tyra Johnson and her three children two years ago after I read a story in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch about her.
I saw how difficult it was for her to homeschool her children during the pandemic. My wife and I donated tablets for Meegale and Madison to use for their schoolwork. We have stayed friends with Tyra's family. She is a hardworking single mother who really loves her children.
A month ago, her old car broke down. She managed to get the car fixed, but it was stolen.
So now she has to use the bus for hours each day and transfer several times just to get to work. She works the overnight shift at Walmart. It's become nearly impossible to survive without transportation or child care.
The Post-Dispatch recently published another story about her difficult situation.
With your help, we hope to raise enough money to get her a working car, insurance and get her into a better living situation. She is extremely stressed and afraid of losing her job and being unable to care for her three young children.
Even though my wife and I are from very different circumstances and backgrounds from Tyra and her children, we see them as an extension of our family. Please help us help this wonderful family.
