So as many of you know these past 3years have been hard financial for me. I was not working until January of 2025 after my contract ended at Howard. When I started working, I was only getting 10 hours a week. I ended up getting to other part time jobs. One was whenever I was needed and the other is still parttime with not many hours. Because of my income I have not been able to get a place. Even though I had the money. So, with that being said I had to put all of my stuff in storage. Tyler and I have been at Extended Stay since July. This is the reason my saving ran out I was not able to save with the amount that I'm having to pay each week is anywhere between $586 to $600. With that having hours and pay not being much I had to use what I have. I applied for food stamps, and they gave me $11.00 a month. I go to food banks when I can. But most of them seem to be going on when I'm at work. I pay $480 a month for my storage. Everything in there is all that Tyler and I have. The car I bought turned out to be a lemon and I have not had the money to get it fixed.

I have tried to get into a shelter but have not had any success. They are all full and the women's shelter will take me and not Tyler because of his age. I can take Bella, but I do not have the money to get her shots up to date. Giving her away would hurt me and Tyler.

This has been such a hard time for both of us. It is starting to affect my mental health as well as Tylers. His grades are slipping because he is forced to take two buses to school. We just need some help.

Anyone has any information on a basement to rent or a place to rent in general. I have been looking for full time work, but everything seems to be part time with minimal hours.

I have had to have him stay with friends because I was not able to afford a room. I stayed in a U-Haul with the dog.

WE JUST NEED SOME HELP. It's so expensive and doing it with a single income household is hard.

Anything will help. Again, I cannot believe we are going through this again.
