My niece is a 26-year-old mother living alone in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with her young son. On Saturday, March 14th, 2026, while working alone, she suddenly collapsed and began seizing. When she regained consciousness, she was in excruciating pain in her right ankle. After being driven to the ER, doctors discovered she had a broken fibula. She has lived with an undiagnosed seizure disorder since she was 14, and this recent episode has made her situation even more challenging.
Currently, she is wearing a cast on her right foot and ankle and will need to stay off her feet for at least 4-6 weeks. This means it will be very difficult, and potentially impossible, for her to work during this time. It is crucial that her ankle heals properly, so she must focus on her recovery. The funds raised will help cover her bills and everyday expenses while she heals and attends medical appointments related to her seizure disorder. There may also be additional medical expenses as she begins her journey to obtain a clear diagnosis and better manage her health.
She is a very independent person who has worked hard for many years to get where she is. Asking for help is not something she enjoys, and she has agreed to this fundraiser reluctantly. While her situation is dire, we understand that many people are struggling right now. Any and all support will be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Your generosity would mean the world to my niece and her son, and we will all be eternally grateful for your kindness during these trying times.
