Tucker Corprew suffered a major incident while visiting family in NC over the Fourth of July holiday. She fell down a flight of stairs and broke her C7 (where her spine meets her neck) and fractured her spine multiple places. Tucker has been at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh for over a week. The Neuro team performed a long and intense surgery on the front and back of her neck last Monday to try to stabilize the fracture. Our hope is that she will be admitted to inpatient rehab as she slowly heals and they have a bed available. This accident has displaced Tucker's family while they are trying to provide round the clock care for her. The road recovery is expected to be lengthy. Friends have been asking how to help Tucker and her family and so we set up this GoFundMe to assist with costs associated with Tucker's long term medical care and to support the family while they are all in NC to be with Tucker. Tucker is a very selfless person and helps so many. She never asks for anything in return but this accident has really knocked everyone for a loop. Frankly, it has been an extremely stressful situation with lots of unknowns ahead. Tucker is the founder and CEO of The Chas Foundation, a non-profit organization to assist families dealing with mental illness. To date, Tucker has single handedly assisted hundreds of families and has helped connect over 5,000 people to mental health services and supported them through their darkest of times completely free of charge. If you are able, please consider making a financial contribution to help care for Tucker in her time of need.
