Tsion Cafe needs your help. We have been part of the Sugar HillHarlem community for the past 6 years, but don't know how much longer we can stay open. Over the past 6 months, we have been overwhelmed by the support and patronage we have received. We have also made sure to provide for our staff and our community. We partnered with the Mayor's office and paid our staff a livable wage during the height of the pandemic. We also worked with non-profits and provided over 2000 free meals to essential workers and at-risk groups including seniors. Furthermore we worked with our artists and musicians and arranged mini-concerts to help them keep cash flowing in. Small businesses like ours are essential for the economic viability of our community.
This is why we are asking you to help us. We are raising money, to cover our expenses in preparation for the winter months when outside dining will be at a minimal and patrons are less likely to eat out. We need your help to get us through the winter.
The funds will be used to pay our rent, to cover employee salary, to cover purchase of personal protective equipment for our staff, to cover increased cleaning requirements for Tsion Cafe to remain safe, and to cover the increase cost of goods to make the delicious food we always do.
The owners and staff of Tsion Cafe are eternally grateful for your support. We know these are tough times and everyone is stressed out. Any support you can give helps. Helping us is a victory for small businesses, for making sure that the mom-and-pop business in Harlem continue to be here and that the financial and economic power we have remain in our community.
