My nephew Troy McCurry was badly burnt while clearing land for his family's new mobile home. Debris from the fire caught his shirt, and he suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns on 16% of his body. He was rushed to Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN, which is six hours away from his family and children. On Monday, April 13th, Troy underwent surgery for skin grafts and will need to stay in the hospital for at least 14 more days.
Troy's fiancée is traveling back and forth to be with him, but the hospital cannot allow her to stay with their six-week-old baby. She is currently on maternity leave with no income, and the family is doing everything they can to make sure Troy is not alone. They need help covering rent, utilities, food, and getting their other children to school. Family members are taking turns traveling to Nashville so Troy has support during his recovery.
We are so grateful for all the prayers and concern you have shown our family during this difficult time. If you can spare any amount, it will help Troy's family with bills and food until he is back on his feet. Please keep Troy and his family in your thoughts and prayers for healing and a safe return home. We are thankful for each of you more than you know.
