Just a couple days ago, our family experienced an unimaginable loss. My sister, Trina Diana Koluse, was taken from us due to gun violence, leaving behind her four beloved children—three girls, ages 14, 17, and 20, and a 12-year-old boy. The pain of losing Trina is especially heavy as it happened during Mother’s Day week, a time meant for celebrating the love and strength of mothers everywhere. Now, her children are facing a future without their mother’s guidance, care, and support.
