It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our mom, Trina Fuentez. Trina was the glue of our family. She was our rock the one everyone went to, the one who listened, the one who always had advice. She had been through so much in her life and had seen a lot, and because of that, she understood people and their pain deeply. She always made time to hear everyone out. Nothing stopped her. Not being a single mother. Not raising seven children. Not living with severe physical pain from her back. Not struggling with mental health. She carried so much, yet she continued to show up for her children in the ways she knew how. She loved us fiercely, and she wanted us to always stick together, because she believed family was everything that we were all we had, and that we should always have each other.
Our mom was a good mother who dealt with more than most people ever see. Over time, it became too heavy, and she left us heartbroken. Even in our grief, we are holding onto what she wanted most for us to stay close, to support one another, and to move forward together with love. She leaves behind a son with severe autism and special needs, who requires ongoing care and support, and a 13 year old daughter, who has lost her mother far too soon. Our family is coming together to protect them, care for them, and surround them with love during this unimaginable time. Funds raised will go toward cremation and memorial expenses, and supporting her children during this transition, including immediate needs, care, and stability. We want to send our mom off with the same love she gave us. If you are reading this and struggling with your mental health or having thoughts of hurting yourself, please know that you are not alone, you are loved, and it is okay to ask for help. God never intended for us to carry our pain alone He wants us to lean on one another. Your family loves you, your life has meaning, and taking your life is not the answer. Please reach out for help if you need it.
