My mom, Tracy Neal, was my best friend and the heart of our family. She was a shining light to everyone who knew her—always kind, always willing to help, and dedicated to her work as an LPN for nearly 25 years. Tracy was a loving wife to my dad, Shawn, for 21 years, and a devoted mother to three children. Her sudden passing on Monday, 2/23/26, from aspiration due to pneumonia has left us devastated and struggling to cope with the loss of someone so special.

Tracy did not have life insurance, and the financial burden of her funeral and burial expenses has been overwhelming. We drained our savings account to give her the farewell she deserved and are also hoping to provide her with a proper headstone to honor her memory. On top of these expenses, my dad had to take two weeks off work without pay while Tracy was in the hospital, and now he needs time to grieve and heal without the added stress of falling behind financially.

We are reaching out for help because this loss has left our family in a difficult place. Any contribution, no matter the size, will help our family stay afloat and allow my dad the space to heal. A lot of people have been reaching out and checking on us as well, I personally have been struggling but I know my mom is with me. She has been showing me signs and I find comfort in that. We are trying to process and just get thru each day, each minute. I find myself breaking down crying and yelling but one step, one day at a time.
