Update:
Thank you for your generosity it is sincerely appreciated. With your donations I was able to pay some of the smaller medical balances. We were blessed with having insurance, however as you know they don’t always pay the whole bill. Many thanks and blessings to you all. Happy New Year!
In July, my daughter and I were involved in a serious car accident that changed our lives in an instant. I sustained multiple injuries that have left me unable to walk without a device or work. My daughter suffered significant bruising and is now struggling with PTSD.
As her only parent—my main focus has always been to keep her safe and provide for her, but this accident has made that incredibly difficult.
Since the accident, I have had to move into my elderly mother’s home. She is on a fixed income and, while she offers us love and support, she is unable to help financially.
I have exhausted all of my paid family medical leave, and I am not eligible for unemployment because I am unable to look for work. The bills have continued to pile up, including medical expenses, storage costs for our belongings, and the day-to-day costs of living.
I am usually self-sufficient, but right now I am struggling to cover even basic purchases for myself and my daughter.
It is very hard for me to find myself in this position, and even harder to ask for help. Your kindness and support would mean the world to us as we work toward healing and rebuilding our lives
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. If you feel led to give, we would be appreciative. If you aren’t in a position to give please consider sharing our story.
Thank you,
The Simmons girls
