Update from the family: 1/30/25

Thank you so much to everyone who has shared and donated. Our friends, family, and even complete strangers help in our time of crisis has been invaluable. From monetary donations, clothing donations, help navigating what's next and temporary housing. This has helped make an already terrible situation manageable. Our community has helped immensely. Not only did we have angels looking out for us that day ensuring we were all safe.. but all who have helped have become our living angels. Rebuilding all that we lost will be a long and difficult process. But we are so thankful to be surrounded by so much love and light.

On January 24, 2025, My lifelong extended family and friends Tracie, Alisha, and Tasha, together with their teenage daughter Taysia and baby Jackson, tragically lost everything in a horrific house fire. They are left with nothing more than the clothing they are wearing.

Fortunately, everyone survived and is in good physical condition. Since they are still in shock, it will take them some time to grieve for everything they lost. For more than 30 years, this was more than simply a house…. it was their home. They will never be able to recover a lifetime of memories and momentum. Nothing can be saved due to fire and smoke damage. Since they have always welcomed everyone into their home, this is particularly terrible for our community.
