Traci Francis is facing an unimaginable loss after her husband, William Francis, who passed away unexpectedly while away from home for work on February 2nd. Their anniversary, which falls on Valentine's Day, is now a bittersweet reminder of the love and partnership they shared. William was an Air Force veteran who worked tirelessly to support his family, and his sudden passing has left a deep void in their lives.
Together, they adopted a 12-year-old son, Eli, who has special needs, and William's steady support was crucial for their family's well-being. Now, with the loss of her husband, Traci is doing everything she can to keep their home and provide stability for Eli, especially during such a challenging time.
Traci also went through the loss of Felicia's father, Rob, her husband, in 1994 and didn't think she would have to go through it again. Back then, she had her brother Bobby and mother Janice Baker to help her during those tough times, but they have both since passed, leaving her far away from her side of the family while dealing with her loss.
Traci is disabled due to a spinal fusion and is unable to work. Before her disability, she was a special needs preschool teacher and made the decision to leave her career to become a stay-at-home mother to Eli, dedicating herself fully to his care and well-being.
Felicia and Andrew have tried hard to help out where they can, but Felicia faces health issues of her own, along with caring for her own special needs son, and they are both working hard to try and keep their own home so their family can stay stable. They plan to come out and help around the farm as often as possible to try and keep the stress off of Traci.
Bill met Traci while playing Star Wars Galaxies. She was a single mom with two boys she had adopted still living at home and a daughter with two grandsons. When Felicia needed to move across country to be closer to her mother and grandmother, Bill opened up his home to the whole family. He went from living alone to a house full. He found ways to bond with Haiden, his special needs grandson, with their "what's up" and enjoyed being Gavin's piggyback when he got too tired to walk. Bill ended up getting a bigger house to better accommodate all of the family he had living with him. Eventually, after a few moves and finally having just Eli in the home, they found the farm. Bill loved having all the family out to hang, BBQ, and nerd out together! He loved playing video games with his family, especially when he traveled for work so he could still feel like he was there with them despite the distance.
He was a wonderful Son, Brother, Uncle, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Hero during the Gulf War. I know he would want a secure future for Traci and Eli which would mean paying off the farm. Any donations will go toward paying off their home, car, and any outstanding bills they have so that Traci's now limited income will be able to keep them in their home and in Eli's school district.
The family is working hard to ensure Eli can continue his education and maintain some sense of normalcy. The support of friends, family, and the wider community will make a world of difference as they navigate the difficult road ahead. Any help you can offer will bring hope and relief to a family who has given so much and now needs a helping hand.
