This fundraiser is for Diane and Amelia Gagliano, mother-daughter owners at Top of the Hill Huskies. They are two strong and empathetic women with a passion and deep love for their kennels of working Siberian huskies located in Phelps, Wisconsin.

The El Niño season has been incredibly difficult for their small dog sled ride business, with over 95% of their reservations canceling due to the unprecedented warm weather, lack of snow, and no visitors coming to the Northwoods of Wisconsin where they run their operation. That set their business finances back dramatically.

On top of that, while still recovering from the hard loss and financial burden of diagnosing, treating, and losing Diane's amazing canine athlete and super-dog Moon less than two months ago to IMHA, Amelia's two-year-old female, Heels, passed away suddenly and traumatically on Monday, February 6th, after spending thousands on diagnostic testing, medications, and treatment planning. Heels presented with an illness that appears to be going around the kennel, and two additional dogs at Amelia's are likely to be hospitalized with similar symptoms.

All of these events in a short window have devastated Top of the Hill Huskies, and while Diane and Amelia have a real aversion to asking for help, especially financially, I would like to extend an invitation to assist them through this difficult winter. Any donation is helpful, and I will be working with them to create a gift from the dogs at Top of the Hill Huskies to all donors in thanks.
