Tony unexpectedly passed away in his sleep Friday morning at just 48 years old.
Tony was truly one of a kind. If you knew him, you knew the “grumpy” voice on the radio, the sarcasm, and the tough exterior—but behind that was a heart of gold. He would do anything for anyone. He made people laugh, made them better, and always showed up when it mattered most.
A lifelong volunteer firefighter and medic in Rensselaer County, Tony was a constant in the EMS world—teaching, guiding, and reminding others (in his own way) to be better. Many have said it best: the EMS world will never be the same.
He leaves behind his loving wife Sally, who was about to start a new job after finishing a travel nurse contract, and a hip replacement. She also has a life long battle of cancer. Dominic his 11-year-old son, and his adult son Vinny-his whole world.
We are asking for support to help his family through this sudden and heartbreaking loss. Donations will go toward funeral expenses and helping Sally and her family get through the days ahead.

Fly high, Tony. We’ll take it from here.
