Support for Tony Phan

We are devastated to even have to write this up or put his story into words, but Tony deserved it and his family should not have to do this alone. At one time or another throughout our life Tony has been there, so as his friends and loved ones, it is our turn to pull through for him. 

On March 26 a young life was taken from us. Ripped away as if it wouldn’t shatter the lives of every one around it. But that’s what it did. It sent a shock wave through an other wise patternless day.

Tony was a good man! Not a soul alive who knew him could say that he wasn’t. No matter how many days or months or years had passed since you last spoke to him- if you needed him he would be there. He would assure you that everything was going to be ok, you would not be alone in your time of need. I know how often you hear “he would give the shirt off his back” but he really would. If you needed it, he would give it to you and he wouldn’t even ask you why. A great man. Tony was a son, a brother, an uncle, but the one he excelled the most at - Tony was a friend. He was always a friend. He wore his heart on his sleeve with everyone he met, nobody was beneath him. He taught us all a lot about giving and being there for the people in our lives. He always gave second chances because he always believed people deserved it. “You never know what people are going through, what they are suffering with on the inside, you need to listen to them not to respond but just to listen” that was a direct quote from one of the many times I was lucky to interact with him. Tony we love you, we should have told you more and made you hear us but it would never have been enough. Words could never be enough. I want to believe that you are somewhere in the stars watching us all grieve and come together to support your family when they need it the most. We are here for you Tony and no matter how much time passes we will never forget you. 

So please let’s do this, for his mom, and his brother and his sister. Let’s pull together and show Tony how important he was and how many people this loss affected. Please give what you can and share if you will.
