On January 22nd, 2022, after leaving goodwill, getting gas, and making his route home. Tony was hit by a pickup truck going anywhere from 55-65mph straight into the back of his car while stopped at a red light. The driver never came off the gas peddle, and Tony was rear-ended. The driver then drove off and fled the scene. Luckily the police caught him. The domino effect caused Tony to hit the three cars in front of him. His car, the one with the initial impact, was left totaled.

After being transported to the hospital, I finally saw him. He was so lost and confused talking to me. This is what he said: “I truthfully don’t remember much. I remember looking at the gas prices to my right and comparing the prices cause I had just got gas 5 minutes prior. I remember passing the guy swerving and hitting curbs, but I turned right and didn't think much of it. I do not remember coming to a complete stop.

Next thing I know, a man is pulling me out of my car and me just being in complete shock and confusion. Glass everywhere, stuff from my trunk in the backseat and front seat.”

Due to this accident, Tony is facing a significant financial loss, and he had to cancel Twin Cities Vintage Fest plus other upcoming events. He will be attending numerous doctor appointments and unsure how fast he will heal from injuries, with back-to-back losses, and being unsure when he will be able to function fully again. We ask for a little extra help until he gets back on his feet and everything gets sorted out.
