Hi, my name is Derek. I started this page because we suddenly lost my dear friend and brother-in-law, Tom Mitchell, after a brief illness. Tom was married to my sister, Danielle, and they have three young children who were the loves of his life. Tom and Danielle were high school sweethearts that have been together for twenty-five years. They have three amazing children that were their world - Austin (12), Cole (9), and Alyssa (4). They both worked hard to provide for their family and they had a wonderful life together that was full of love and laughter. Our family is devastated, as Tom was a goofy ray of sunshine for all of us. Tom was a gentle giant who would do anything to help anyone in need. He continued to help others even after death, donating several of his organs.

Nothing would be more important to him than making sure that his Danielle and the kids are well taken care of as they make this difficult transition. Tom's passing created unexpected expenses, and Danielle will have to adjust to supporting her family on a single income with additional child care and other needs. We would greatly appreciate any level of donation, 100% of which will directly benefit Danielle, Austin, Cole and Alyssa.
