Tragedy struck my brother Tom and his family late last night. A short time after leaving home, he was notified by neighbors that his home had caught fire. By the time he made it there, it was fully engulfed and is a complete loss. One can only imagine how hard it is to lose their home, but they have also lost their beloved dog. While we are all extremely grateful that my brother and his children were not home at the time of this fire, it is still an unimaginable loss. They have literally lost everything in their home.

As Tom’s sister, I, of course, want to give a lending hand in any way possible. It is now one week before Christmas and I’m asking everyone to find it in their hearts to please give as much as they can to help them get back on their feet. Thank God for insurance, but that is a timely and arduous process. They need help now, and we are asking for anything that anyone would be willing to give. Thank you so much and thank you, God, for making sure that my family was safe last night.
