I'm fundraising for my best friend’s father, Tom McCarney who is currently battling Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).

 Tom is a devoted husband and father, and a fighter to say the least. Not only is Tom always wearing a smile, but he exudes this positive energy which is contagious to everyone he meets. If you know Tom you know you can't help but smile while in his presence. When he's not working to support his family or selflessly helping out a friend in need, you can find Tom cheering on and supporting the people he loves.

 Tom has a tough fight ahead of him after his recent diagnosis, which has brought him in and out of hospitals and unable to work for the last several months. In the last 9 months Tom has gone from being a healthy and strong individual to now being unable to walk without the assistance of a walker and a physical therapist. The progression of this cancer has robbed him of so much including his muscle mass and strength. Tom is currently still hospitalized and is undergoing Chemotherapy.

 If you've had the pleasure of meeting Tom along with the whole McCarney family you know how truly incredible they are. Not only are they amongst the strongest individuals I know, but they continuously show up for the people in their lives despite any adversity they face. Let's show up for the McCarney family and Tom as he fights Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).
