Support for Tom Karrer's Family in Their Time of Need

The Nakoma family is reaching out during a time of deep sorrow and need following the sudden loss of Tom Karrer on October 29.

Tom was a beloved husband, a father to eight, and as Nakoma’s Golf Course Maintenance Superintendent, both a friend and colleague.

Tom was beyond gifted at transforming golf courses into works of art. A testament to that is his work at Nakoma for nearly four years. Tom’s vision, skill and persistence coaxed The Dragon back to its rightful place as one of the most beautiful courses in California.

A passionate man, yet known for his soft-spoken voice, Tom held unwavering support for his family, loved baseball, and was a voice of reason for anyone lucky enough to be called his friend.

Now, Tom’s unexpected passing has left his wife, Beatriz, and family in a challenging situation both emotionally and financially. Whether it was lending a helping hand, offering encouraging words, or simply being a friend in times of need, Tom always gave to others.

Now it’s our turn to stand by Tom and his family as they navigate this difficult time. Nakoma has started a GoFundMe campaign to assist Tom’s family. The funds raised through the account will help cover medical expenses, funeral costs, and any additional financial burdens that may arise in the coming weeks and months.
