Hi, my name is Deanna Egan Alvord and, as many of you know, my brother, Tom Egan, was in a terrible accident. He was fixing a tractor and it popped into gear and ran over him. He has two broken vertebrae, multiple broken ribs and sternum, and his pelvis is broken in six places. They say he will not leave the hospital for weeks, maybe months and has to have multiple surgeries. He will also be bedridden for three months meaning he will not be allowed to bear any weight/stand up for three months. Only at the end of this three months will he be able to begin to learn to walk again and rehabilitate his body. Needless to say, this is devastating to his family.

The Gorecki House across the street from the hospital is for the families of patients who are in the hospital long term. They charge $50 a night.

I am fundraising to help Tom's wife, Kim, and their kids pay for food, lodging, and gas during this very difficult time.

Everyone has been so wonderful both at the hospital and in the community that we cannot express our appreciation enough. If you're able to contribute even a small amount, we would be grateful.
