UPDATE MAY 26th: Thanks to everyone who has donated and sent well wishes to Clarkie. Todd got a bit of a bad news update this week and the cancer is not only in his lung and requires chemo, but he also now needs to start radiation for the cancer on his spine. The Spencer family along with the Pembroke Lumber Kings are raising funds for support of Todd Clarke and his family, Tania, Mack and Tanner. Our good friend Clarkie is a cancer survivor beating the disease once, but now he is being challenged to beat it again. He will be starting chemo in early May to attack the cancer that is attacking him.

Clarkie has been active in the hockey community for years, having coached U-18 in Carlton Place and now Junior A with the Pembroke Lumber Kings of the CCHL. We are asking for the hockey community to come together to give back to a guy who has given it so much. Clarkie has coached hundreds of kids over the years, unselfishly giving his time and never asking for anything in return. We are hoping the community that he gave to can give back.

For the past couple years he has raised nearly $15000 for Movember, raising money for cancer research. He’s continually giving back…..

Todd, Tania, Mack and Tanner are an amazing family that has battled through this once, staying positive and strong together the entire time. As they go through it again, there will be expenses and travel involved. I’m calling on those in the hockey community to help the guy who helped many.
