Four years ago, I met Tino Méndez through work. Over time, he became much more than a coworker—he became a brother. Tino was a man of God, known for his humility, integrity, and kindness. He loved his family deeply and was overjoyed when he married his soulmate, Dora. He often spoke with pride about her and their children.
On Friday, January 10, 2026, tragedy struck when Tino lost consciousness at home. His wife, Dora, found him on the floor and he was airlifted to San Antonio. Doctors discovered three brain bleeds, and despite their efforts, Tino no longer had any brain activity and was kept alive by life support. Dora and their family faced the unimaginable decision to remove life support, a heartbreak no family should ever endure, especially with Tino being only 35 years old.
Tino served his community as a police officer and was always ready to help anyone in need. Now, we are asking for help to support Dora and their family with funeral expenses during this painful time. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will help ease their burden. Supporting his family is a way to honor Tino’s legacy and the life he loved. Thank you for your love, support, and prayers for Tino and his beautiful family. Your kindness means more than words can express. God bless.
