Support for Timi Fair

Hi, my name is Beth and I'm fundraising on behalf of my dear friend and colleague, Timi Fair. I met Timi in 2018 when I moved into the office across the hall from hers in the Valhalla Building. We quickly became soul sisters and active members of the beautiful, thriving community of clinicians and healers located in the heart of Ballard. Timi is a warm, generous, hilarious, brilliant, and beautiful human being inside and out. She brought us all together for social events and conversations in and out of the building and kept the spirit of the Valhalla community going during the pandemic. She's a devoted friend, an incredible clinician, and a loving daughter.

A few weeks ago, Timi had to drop everything to fly to North Carolina to provide care for her mother, whose health is rapidly declining. Timi has been working tirelessly to support her mother's transition from independent living into a skilled nursing facility, which has taken an extraordinary amount of time and energy. She hasn't been able to work, which has resulted in a significant loss of income. Timi's private practice is her only source of income and it is difficult (if not impossible) for her to do this kind of work while witnessing her mother's decline.

Being a small business owner is difficult during times like this; being a therapist in private practice is a whole other level of difficulty. We are our service and our product. Not working creates financial challenges and a lot of emotional stress as we are pulled away from the clients who depend on us for support. I am hoping we can all come together to ease at least a little of the financial burden she's experiencing.

Everything we raise will help Timi get back on her feet and help to make up for lost earnings. Let's do whatever we can to be there for her as she has been for so many of us in times of financial and emotional need!
