Support for Tim Davis' family

 

On January 2nd, Tim Davis passed away suddenly, tragically far too soon. His loss represents an irreplaceable void in many lives. Timmy leaves behind his wife Kristi and daughter Soleil, his parents Fred and Karen, his brothers Jeff and Trevor and many, many friends.

 

Timmy was such an important person to so many; he was an amazing father, husband, son, brother and friend. He played a huge role in Soleil's life, and it's crushing that she won't have the opportunity to grow up with him, knowing how much he loved being her dad. Of all his jobs, being a dad to Soleil was his favourite.

 

To know Timmy means to have countless memories of good times and adventures. Although it sounds like a cliche, he definitely lived his life to the fullest, and crammed at least 3 lifetimes worth of fun into his 46 years.

Some highlights:

Cancer survivor, Sky diver, junior hockey player, more concerts than most people could ever imagine going to, starting a magazine, running a bar, owning a bar, traveling solo to South Africa and Southeast Asia, coaching youth hockey, winning countless softball league titles, boys trips to Vegas, Denver, Montreal, Toronto, Halifax, Phoenix, LA, Green Lake, kayaking, camping, snowshoeing, hiking, sporting events across North America. Family trips to Austin, Iceland (perhaps his favourite trip), Sonoma, Maui, Kona, Palm Springs .....and on and on. One can only marvel at how much fun he managed to have in his short life.

 

Remembering his adventurous spirit, his ability to 'host' (including his masterful culinary skills!) and create a great time for so many will always bring a smile, and a tear. He was one of a kind.

 

While Kristi and Soleil have a lot of support, nothing can replace a loss like this and there will be significant financial impacts over the long-term that we hope to help mitigate by this effort. Timmy was an incredibly generous person, always stepping up to help out a friend and never asking for anything in return. Here is our chance to return his kindness.
