Tim and Jill are facing an incredibly challenging time. Earlier this year, Tim was diagnosed with Stage 5 ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease), which means his kidneys have completely failed. As a disabled Marine Corp Veteran, Tim has always shown strength and resilience, but this diagnosis has changed everything. He was admitted to the VA hospital in Loma Linda and now undergoes 8-10 hours of peritoneal dialysis every day through a stomach catheter—a treatment he will need for the rest of his life. Tim is hoping to be admitted onto the Kidney Transplant List at the VA Transplant Hospital in Portland, Oregon. If that happens, both Tim and Jill will need to relocate to Portland for at least two months. On top of all this, Tim suffered a sub-arachnoid brain hemorrhage (stroke) in April and now has multiple doctor appointments and CT scans every week through Loma Linda University Healthcare.
Tim was forced to close his business in February to focus on his health, and Jill has become his full-time caregiver, providing support around the clock. We are seeking to raise this money so that they can stay in their home and cover basic finances during this difficult period. The funds raised will also support them if they need to travel for a transplant.
Tim and Jill are dear friends of my wife Lisa and I, and we are reaching out to ask for any help you can give. Your support will go directly to them and will help alleviate some of the stress they are enduring during this incredibly difficult period. Also, if you are able to share on Facebook, that would be most appreciated. Thank you for considering a donation to help Tim and Jill.
