My name is Tim, and I’m reaching out because my life has changed in ways I never could have imagined. Not long ago, I suffered a stroke that left me with severe brain damage. Now, I have no short-term memory, and my cognitive skills are worse than a 9-year-old’s. Every day is a struggle to remember even the simplest things, and it’s been incredibly hard to adjust to this new reality.
On top of my own challenges, I’m also trying to care for my mom, who is living blind and has COPD. We’re both facing overwhelming medical bills, and transportation to appointments has become a huge hurdle. I want to be there for her, but it’s hard when I’m struggling myself.
I am desperate and I fear for my future. In the present, I feel completely lost and hopeless. Any support you can offer—no matter how small—would mean the world to me. Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering helping us during this difficult time.
