Tika Jones is my neighbor, and our daughters are friends in first grade. Tika is a devoted mother with three children who attend Signal Hill School and one who attends Belleville West. Our families have grown close through our children, and it’s heartbreaking to see them facing such a difficult time.

On Saturday, a fire broke out at Tika’s house, leaving her and her children without a home. They are currently staying in a hotel, having lost many of their belongings and the comfort of their own space. The suddenness of this tragedy has turned their lives upside down, and they are doing their best to stay strong for each other.

The money raised through this fundraiser will go directly to helping Tika and her family with temporary housing, replacing essentials, and supporting them as they work to rebuild their lives. We want to say thank you for rallying around this family in need and request for support. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference and show Tika and her children that their community cares.
