I have known Serena (Tiahna’s mum) for the past 2years we meet as we started working together at Fernwood , anyone who is lucky enough to know Serena knows that she is an absolute warrior and a very independent, strong person who has defiantly seen more than her share of heart break and the hardest of hard times.

Even though Serena has been through so much in her life she never complains and always does her best and never askes for anything also during these times she has shown pure strength and determination to keep going and to never give up while also finding compassion and empathy for others no matter what is happening in her life.

 

In the video provided there is some information about Serena’s beautiful girl Tiahna.

Tiahna just like her Mumma is an absolute trooper that has overcome so many hurdles and beaten so many odds in her young life all this is shown in the video I have provided (if you can watch the video with out a tear in your eye you did better than me) this really shows how special this beautiful family are and just how much they have already overcome.

Unfortunately, these last few months have been even harder when Tiahna’s seizures started to get a lot worse and she has been in hospital since the 14th of April as she is having a seizure every 4 to 6 minutes, as you can Imagine this is extremely scary and distressing for the family and takes it toll on poor Tiahna’s body.

In the hospital they have tried all medications but with no success. The next course of action they are investigating is to have an implant put in to send a impulse to the brain and hopefully disrupt the seizures. She has also been referred to two other hospitals and two community clinics for testing and intervention and there is no sign of her being able to go home any time soon.

With all this happening this means that Serena is torn every day, and has to make the heartbreaking decision to pick between her two daughters as they both need her and also as a single mother financially trying to keep thing going.

As Serenas friend all I have wanted to do is try and help in any way I can just like I know many of her friends out there want to do. So, I thought one way to be able to help is to take away one of the stresses for her, that is why I have started this go fund me page.
